Figure 2 : Graph of R=1+1*sin(9*A/4)^3 Product no. Program 52 06

Title .... Study graph of R=1+1*sin(p*A/q)^M
Note ..... where * = multiply and ^ = power

Q1. Use the graph answer the following questions
    * How many petals of this function if p=9 q=4 and M=3 ?
    * Repeate above question for p=1,3,5,7 (keep q=4 and M=3 unchange)
    * What is the conclusion ?
    * Tip : Use program WebABC. Click the pattern logo
Q2. What is the cycle domain if M=3 and q=4 ?
    * Use program WebABC and click Form
    * Click topic 8 in upper box
    * Click 08 01 in lower box : domain is 0 to 1*pi
    * Click 08 02 in lower box : domain is 0 to 2*pi
    * Click 08 03 in lower box : domain is 0 to 3*pi
    *
    * After you see all the ten diagrams. We can get answer
    *
    * The answer is 0 to 2*4*pi = 8*pi for p is odd M is odd
Q3. Can we change p in WebABC ?
    * Yes. We can change p but we can not change q and M
    * Change p = 2. How ? In the file name box, click ZB
    * Now the function is r=1+1*sin(2*A/4)^3
    * Repeate Q2 and we get the cycle domain being (0, 4*pi)
Now you should install Mathematics Dictionary on your computer
    (1) You can see many many diagrams for your school mathematics
    (2) You can use it as graphic calculator for home work
