Figure 31 : Patterns of R=1+sin(p*A/4) and R=1+cos(p*A/4)
Product no. Program Pattern

Q1. What is the diagram ?
    * Compare r=1+1*sin(p*A/4) and r=1+1*cos(p*A/4)
    * Patterns are congruent
    * The direction are same if p is odd and q = 4

Q2. Can we get a rule from the patterns ?
A2. Yes
  • If p=odd, q=4 and M=odd
  • The sine and cosine patterns are congruent with same direction
  • In Pictorial Mathematics, it is defined as Twin patterns
