Defintion
- Reflection law of hyperbola.
- Source at focus F, hyperbola will reflect or refract light to G and vise versa.
- Hence F and G are called foci.
- Bisector is normal and incident angle equals reflect angle.
Equation of ellipse
- (x-h)^2/a^2 - (y-k)^2/b^2 = 1.
- (h,k) are the center at C.
- a is the major semi-axis on principal axis y = k.
- f is the focal length and f = Sqr(a^2 + b^2).
- From the diagram, find a, b, h, k, and focal length f.
- The foci are on line y = k which is the principal axis.
