Draw line AB = 6 cm
Draw a circle at A with rdius = 4 cm
Draw a circle at B with rdius = 4 cm
Two circles meet at C and D
Join CD and CD cut AB at E
CD bisect AB
Proof
CD is common chord of two circles
Hence CD perpendicular to AB
Hence triangle AEC is congruent to BEC
BC = AC
CE is in common
Angle AEC = angle BEC = 90
Hence AE = BE
