    Q01. Locus in parallelogram

    Question
    • Parallelogram ABCD
    • AD and BC are fixed length
    • Bisectors of angle BCD and angle ADC meet at O
    • Find locus of O
    Diagram
    Text
    • Angle ADC + angle BCD = 180 degrees
    • Hence angle CDF + angle ECD = 90 degrees
    • Hence angle EOF = angle DOC = 90 degrees
    • Triangle ADF
      • Angle ADF = angle AFD
      • Hence AF = AD = fixed length
      • Hence F is fixed point
    • Triangle EBC
      • Angle BEC = angle ACE
      • Hence BE = BC = fixed length
      • Hence E is fixed point
    • Since E and F are fixed and angle EOF = 90
    • Hence locus of O is a circle with EF as diameter
