    Q02. Bisect an angle

    Construction
    • Draw an angle BAC
    • At point A draw a circle and cut line AB at P and AC at Q
    • AT point P draw a circle with radius r
    • At point Q draw a circle with same radius r
    • Two circles meet at R and S
    • Join A, R and S and extend to D
    • AD is angle bisector
    Proof
    • PS = PQ
    • AP = AQ
    • AS is in common
    • Hence triangle APS is concurrent to AQS
    • Hence AD bisect angle BAC

    Q03. Properties

    • 1. Point on bisector has same distance to line AB and AC
      • At point D draw line perpendicular to AB at E
      • At point D draw line perpendicular to BF at F
      • Since ADE is concurrent to ADF
      • Hence DE = DF
